Network of Ethiopian Professionals in the Diaspora (NEPID)

NEPID is a non-partisan network that works to engage professional members of the Ethiopian Diaspora to create dialogue and facilitate actions around the issue of HIV/AIDS.

NEPID works to satisfy an unmet need to mobilize members of the Diaspora with valuable skills and expertise to increase their involvement in the various Ethiopian Diaspora communities and in Ethiopia's fight against HIV/AIDS.

Mission Statement:
NEPID will develop, support and oversee a dialogue and facilitate actions by engaging Ethiopian Diaspora individuals and organizations both in the Ethiopian Diaspora communities and in Ethiopia's fight against HIV/AIDS.

Planned Activities:
In order to fulfill its mission, NEPID has planned to engage in the following activities:

• Development and maintenance of a NEPID Website
• Development and dissemination of a newsletter regarding HIV/AIDS both in the Ethiopian Diaspora communities and in Ethiopia
• Development and maintenance of a database of professionals in the Diaspora committed to NEPID's mission
• Development of forums to allow dialogue and discussion among members and stakeholders of the Ethiopian Diaspora
• Facilitation of volunteer opportunities in the Ethiopian
