NEPID is affiliated with Visions for Development, a non-profit 501©3 organization registered in the United States of America.

NEPID is a non-partisan network that works to engage professional members of the Ethiopian Diaspora to create dialogue and facilitate actions around the issue of HIV/AIDS. NEPID works to satisfy an unmet need to mobilize members of the Diaspora with valuable skills and expertise to increase their involvement in the various Ethiopian Diaspora communities and in Ethiopia's fight against HIV/AIDS.

Over the past three years, NEPID and its partners have facilitated the placement of volunteer Ethiopian professionals living and working in the United States interested in serving their homeland of Ethiopia in its fight against HIV/AIDS. NEPID identifies and places interested and qualified professionals from the Diaspora in critically needed assignments in Ethiopia, primarily at treatment sites and HIV/AIDS service organizations.
